Message from the Governing Body

Warm greetings to all prospective parents and students!

We feel a deep sense of pride to be able to support and develop Kathmandu World School, a school of a truly international standard in Nepal. The school has state of the art infrastructure and facilities as well as teachers who are well-trained, highly competent, caring and experienced in progressive teaching-learning approaches in national as well as international schools. The academic program is based on the National Curriculum of Nepal and supplemented with the International Primary Curriculum (IPC) for the Lower Elementary and the International Middle Years Curriculum (IMYC) for the Upper Elementary. With a focus on academic excellence, appropriate student-centered pedagogy and experiential approaches will be used in secondary grades for the holistic development of the students.

Within a safe and stimulating environment for learning, the school will strive to develop techno–savvy
and innovative young learners who can succeed both at the national and international arenas. While traversing a challenging, but supportive system, students will be encouraged to develop core values of integrity, compassion, respect, responsibility, collaboration and dynamism, which will enable them to become valued members of any society or work place. The school facilitates students in developing the skills needed to navigate their way to a successful future and cultivates in them deep appreciation for lifelong learning.

The school is administered by a leadership team with a wealth of experience in the management of schools in Nepal, and academic advisors with experience in leading international schools. The KWS Professional Development Centre of the school will provide the teaching faculty with continuous on-site trainings and workshops to constantly update them with the latest developments in global educational standards and teaching– learning pedagogies. The school further aspires to attract students from neighboring countries to ful ll its vision to develop an international and multicultural community, which will further enrich the educational experience of the students.

For the year 2075 (2018-19), admissions will be open in the Elementary level from grade I (One) to V (Five) and grade XI (Eleven). We will be offering Cambridge International A Level from the Academic Session 2019.

We invite you to take advantage of the facilities available at KWS, and partner with us to create a better future.
